In March 2006, we were honoured to be invited to meet Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness Prince Philip on 17th March 2006 at a reception hosted at the residence of the British High Commissioner to Singapore, Sir Alan Collins KCVO CMG.

We are very proud to have been invited to meet The Queen because of our work in promoting British Theatre in Singapore and the region, an initiative which started back in 2003.

“Private Lives” was our fourth production and marked an expansion of the Playhouse's venues as we not only returned to Kuala Lumpur (Hilton Kuala Lumpur) but also made our debut in Penang (Eastern & Oriental Hotel) and Bangkok (The Oriental, Bangkok).

"Private Lives" for Tourism Award

“Private Lives” has been nominated by the public for “Best Leisure Event” 2006 Tourism Award by the Singapore Tourism Board.

Since 1985, STB has annually presented Tourism Awards to pay special tribute to hour individuals and organi
sations who through their dedication, ingenuity and professionalism, have made outstanding contributions towards maintaining Singapore's status as a premier tourist destination and developing the country's tourism industry.

With sponsorship now so essential for the Arts everywhere, we would like to thank all our sponsors and our audiences at the Playhouse's “Private Lives” production.

We hope we may look forward to your continued support.

Just a short note to say how very much our party enjoyed Private Lives and dinner at Raffles Hotel. Everything was exquisitely organized and most of our guests commented specially on how good the food was. Please make sure that we are included on the mailing list for any further events that you find the energy to organize. We have been in Singapore for 18 years and have always wondered why no one has ever thought of bringing in groups such as the Pavillion Opera or other organizations offering similar high caliber productions.

A group of us from Australia travelled to Singapore for your production of Private Lives which we thoroughly enjoyed. Would you please update me by email of future productions?

We had a most enjoyable evening – the food was excellent and the play all we had hoped for and more. I am sure Nöel Coward, himself, would have been thrilled with your cast's presentation and performance.

I would be very grateful if you would advise me of any future production in Singapore by the British Theatre Playhouse. May I also congratulate you on the recent excellent production of “Private Lives”.

It was a great pleasure to be able to play a part in supporting the recent British Theatre Playhouse production of Private Lives in KL. I personally have been a fan of the BTP productions which date back to the previous British Airways Playhouse. Well done for bringing them back to KL!

I am in Mumbai currently and just thought of you. Basically, after your play "Private Lives" which I attended through Scavia, I have been meaning to write to you. Want to say what a fantastic job you did with your show. Congratulations! Cheers to many more plays.
